Independent Contractor (IC)

IC furnishes his/her own: licenses, insurance, bond, equipment tools, and materials.

IC must pay his own: state excise, federal employment and withholding taxes, automobile and other travel expenses, meals, salaries, plus any compensation and other expenses for its employees.

The store will not pay for any: employee pension, health, vacation pay, sick pay or other fringe benefit plans, workers' compensation insurance, federal unemployment compensation payments and any other insurance coverage of any kind.

Hell, most of us subs don't even get invited to the store's  X-mas party.
